Carmina Burana: San Francisco
Ragazzi’s boys will be the featured children’s chorus, as the Bay Choral Guild, led by Sanford Dole, and joined by Baritone soloist Nikolas Nackley, presents one of the most popular choral works ever composed. Carl Orff’s spectacular Carmina Burana explores fate, drinking, and love—rhythmic and shimmering music set to 12th century poems found at the Bavarian Benediktbeuern monastery. These performances will present the chamber version created by Orff himself, accompanied by two pianos and four percussionists.
