Ragazzi’s Premiere and Avanti groups perform Carl Orff’s rhythmic and colorful Carmina Burana with the Golden State Youth Orchestra (formerly the El Camino Youth Symphony) and Masterworks Chorale. Set to medieval poems found in a German monastery, orchestra and voices combine to tell stories of joy, bitterness, love, despair, intoxication and clarity. The Orchestra will also present Elgar’s cello concerto in E minor, Mozart’s flute concerto in G K313, and Smetana’s The Moldau.
