Landscapes

You’re invited to our first concert of 2025! “Landscapes” will feature a diverse repertoire of folk songs and modern compositions centered around nature. Concert Group, Choral Scholars, and Young Men’s Ensemble will perform works including:
- “From Scorched Earth”: Canadian composer Katerina Gimon’s musical elegy written in response to the devastating wildfires in British Columbia in 2017
- “Hoj, Hura, Hoj”: A lively and romantic folk song from the Czech Republic’s Moravian mountain region
- “Tree”: Bay Area composer Eric Tuan’s ode to redwood trees
- “For the Beauty of the Earth”: John Paul Rudoi’s awe-inspiring arrangement of a traditional nature-inspired hymn
Enjoy these selections and more in the historic venue of Mission Santa Clara on Saturday, March 15 at 4 PM.
